Help! My eyes have a problem!

Bedtime routine for A and me is quite elaborate. We start off by wanting to do every irrelevant task and crying to brush to finally pulling out all the books that were neatly arranged just a few hours back  only to select a magazine with really silly stories to read. Then comes the mammoth task of getting into the bed which we manage to do with great difficulty. Once in bed and after reading the story when it is just about time to switch off the lights comes the need to visit the restroom and drink water and check out some noise in the other part of the house and finally hundred questions that need to be answered immediately. So this is pretty much our everyday routine.
Today as usual towards the end of the hundredth question A declared “Amma I have a problem with my eyes.” I am concerned confused and tired now and not to mention half asleep and in my sleep in mumble “What’s wrong A?” to which she says “even though I have been lying down for so long with my eyes closed my eyes take a long time to sleep and I can’t fix this issue. What can I do?” I tell her “ my dear A, it’s not enough if you shut your eyes, you have to close your mouth too and then may be you would fall asleep”. A was so happy to hear the solution and says “ I never knew this. Let me try it out Amma.”
This is followed by pin drop silence. Now I am wide awake expecting her to jump up any minute and tell me that my solution did not work. I wait without moving.. after a while all I hear is steady breathing and I sigh in relief and go back to sleep!
